Souvenez-vous. Nous sommes en Janvier 2015. Le nom d'un gamin, d'un prodige norvégien crève la bulle de l'actualité sportive et fait les gros titres.

Ødegaard, 16 ans est transféré au Real Madrid pour 4 millions d'euros.

Déjà international norvégien à 15 ans, le jeune garçon est pétri de talent, cela ne fait aucun doute.

Gaucher, adroit dans ses dribbles, inspiré dans ses passes et ses décisions, bon finisseur, il a tout pour plaire. Et puis le conte de fées a tourné, peut-être pas au cauchemar, mais en tout cas au mauvais rêve. L'idée de l'oisillon prenant son envol en terres madrilènes a pris du plomb dans l'aile. L'opportunité tarde à venir. Ødegaard, bien que très doué a encore beaucoup de choses à apprendre et à prouver, et il n'est pas encore prêt. Alors il est prêté.

Au SC Heerenven en Eredivise d'abord. Sans trop convaincre. Sans briller. Puis au Vitesse Harnem la saison suivante. Et s'il inscrit 11 buts et 13 passes décisives en 39 matches, la performance est correcte mais réalisée dans le championnat des Pays Bas et pas suffisament extraordinaire pour lui offrir une chance de faire ses preuves au Real.

Alors, il repart, à nouveau en prêt. Moins emprunté, plus sûr de lui, il foule en 2019/2020, les pelouses de la Liga sous les couleurs, non pas du Real, mais de la Real, Sociedad.
